Supreme Shatin fight back to beat Eastern on Premier League debut
Photo: HKFA Supreme Shatin marked their Hong Kong Premier League debut with a 3–1 comeback win over Eastern in the season opener at Mong Kok Stadium.
Yu Okubo gave Eastern the lead from the penalty spot after 15 minutes, but Jude Arthur equalised a minute before half-time to bring the newly promoted side back into the game.
James Scott put Shatin ahead seven minutes after the restart. The striker followed up after Hugo Kametani’s effort, completing a turnaround that Eastern were unable to reverse.
Shatin then made their changes count. Lam Hok Hei came on in the 64th minute and scored four minutes later, giving his side a two-goal cushion for the closing stages.
A crowd of 3,329 watched the newcomers take the opening points of the campaign.
