Eastern District's three-goal burst proves too much for Rangers
Photo: HKFA Eastern District beat BC Rangers 3–1 at Tsing Yi Sports Ground, building a three-goal lead before the home side managed a reply.
Luizinho opened the scoring after 29 minutes to give Eastern District the half-time advantage. They then added two more goals soon after the restart, turning a narrow lead into a commanding one.
Léo Peres scored in the 49th minute and Li Ngai Hoi made it 3–0 eight minutes later. Rangers responded by bringing on Ho Chun Ting in the 58th minute, and the substitute scored just three minutes after his introduction.
That goal reduced the deficit to two, but there was no further change to the score. Eastern District retained their advantage through the remaining half-hour to take all three points.
