Kitchee end Southern's winning start with 3–1 away victory
Photo: HKFA Kitchee beat Kwoon Chung Southern 3–1 at Aberdeen Sports Ground, with first-half goals from Ruslan Mingazov and Juninho providing the platform for victory.
Mingazov opened the scoring after 25 minutes and Juninho doubled the lead four minutes before the interval. Southern, who had won their first two league games, faced a two-goal deficit entering the second half.
Adrián Revilla made it 3–0 late in the game. Stefan Golubović replied a minute later, in the 88th minute, but Southern were left with too much to recover.
Kitchee finished with ten men after Víctor Camarasa was sent off in stoppage time. The visitors’ two-goal advantage remained intact, giving them a third win from four league matches and taking their unbeaten opening return to ten points.
Southern’s late winners against HKFC and Kowloon City had brought six points from six. Golubović’s goal this time was only a consolation.
