Diego Eli completes late Kowloon City comeback against Shatin
Photo: HKFA Diego Eli scored in stoppage time as Wofoo Kowloon City overturned a 2–1 deficit to beat Supreme Shatin 3–2 and claim their first league win of the season.
Adolph Koudakpo had given Kowloon City a third-minute lead at Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground. Hugo Kametani equalised after 29 minutes before Sergio Chiu put Shatin ahead nine minutes into the second half.
Shatin held that advantage until the closing stages. Nikola Popović brought Kowloon City level in the 84th minute, and Diego Eli completed the turnaround in the second minute of added time.
The visitors had lost their first three league matches, against Lee Man, Southern and Eastern. Two late goals transformed this outing into their first points of the campaign.
Shatin had recovered from an early setback to lead, only to lose their third consecutive league game.
