Super-sub Vinicius keeps North District unbeaten with Rangers winner
Photo: HKFA Vinicius Soares scored three minutes after coming off the bench as Golik North District beat BC Rangers 1–0 at Tsing Yi Sports Ground.
North had beaten Rangers 5–0 in their earlier league meeting, but this return fixture was settled by a single goal. The visitors nevertheless added another clean sheet and extended their unbeaten start to six matches.
Their record now stood at five wins and one draw, worth 16 points. They had conceded only once in that sequence, against Eastern in their previous league outing.
The match remained goalless until North introduced Vinicius for Victor Kauan in the 63rd minute. His 66th-minute goal proved to be the only one of the game, securing the visitors’ fifth league victory of the season.
Rangers remained on three points after a second successive defeat without scoring.
