Ticó's late winner ends Rangers' losing start against Eastern
Photo: HKFA Flavio Ticó scored with eight minutes of normal time remaining as BC Rangers beat Eastern 1–0 to secure their first Premier League points of the season.
Rangers had lost their first four league games, conceding 14 goals against Kitchee, Eastern District, Tai Po and North District. Their first clean sheet arrived alongside their first victory.
The sides remained level through the first half and much of the second at Tsing Yi Sports Ground. Ticó’s 82nd-minute goal was the only breakthrough, leaving Eastern with little time to recover.
Eastern, by contrast, were unable to build on the 4–0 win over Kowloon City from their previous league outing. They finished without a goal here after scoring in each of their opening three games.
